5. Jameis Winston Florida State quarterback

Despite various questionable decisions he’s made in his personal life, Jameis Winston has the tools to be a talented NFL quarterback. In two full seasons at Florida State, Winston has completed 60% of his passes and thrown for just shy of 8,000 yards (7,964). The most revealing numbers that favor Winston are 27-1, which was his record as starting quarterback for the Seminoles. He was rattled by the Oregon Ducks in the first ever College Football Playoff, but let’s face it, this year’s Seminoles team wasn’t as talented as the 2013 squad.

Winston certainly needs to clean up his act. Rape allegations and shoplifting complaints simply don’t cut it in the world of professional sports, particularly the National Football League, which is trying to clean up it’s image. The Alabama native is the most pro-ready signal-caller in this year’s draft. He could very well go first overall to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but if he slips past the Tennessee Titans at number two, then the Jets might have to take a flyer on Winston.
