The Chicago Bears ranked among one of the most disappointing teams in 2014. One specific disappointment was the play from the pass rush. They finished 18th in the league of sacks, however, with the signings of Jared Allen and Lamarr Houston they were expected to be a top ten unit.

Allen finished with just 5.5 sacks while Houston missed half of the season due to injury. With the uncertainty of how Houston will perform next season and Allen’s age, it would be wise to bolster the defensive front with a young prospect like Vic Beasley.

Beasley could have easily been a first round pick last season, but decided on staying in school. The decision didn’t hurt him one bit, finishing off his senior season with 12 sacks. His experience and ability to get to the quarterback is something the Bears must address moving forward.
. 44.
The Atlanta Falcons have a few holes they could fill in the first round. With the choice of either an offensive lineman, pass rusher or linebacker, the next few months consist of a lot of scouting and interviews.

The other needs are pressing, but ultimately Atlanta will select Eric Kendricks. Kendricks is the type of linebacker who is all over the field, making play after play. At UCLA, he finished his senior season with 149 tackles, 11.5 of them resulting in a loss. Kendricks also finished first in the nation for solo tackles and sixth in tackles averaged.

Aside from just tackling, he is extremely proficient in coverage. Filling the core of their defense out is going to be a priority for them if they want to compete in their division. With the connection of Cam Newton/Greg Olson and Drew Brees/Jimmy Graham, it is essential the Falcons are strong in the middle.
. Linebacker. UC: Los Angeles. Eric Kendricks. 8. player
