15.
Last season everything that went wrong for the New Orleans Saints did. A team that was expected to compete for the Super Bowl, finished with a sub .500 record, falling behind the Carolina Panthers for second place in the division.

Injuries had their affect on New Orleans last season, but that is no excuse for their dreadful performance. Aside from their injuries, one problem they had was finding a consistent pass rush outside of Cameron Jordan and Junior Galette.

After an impressive junior season, Dante Fowler is a name that has warranted a lot of recent attention, shooting up in most draft boards. He finished the season with 8.5 sacks, creating havoc for the opposing offensive line.

Fowler has all the right tools needed from a defensive end in the league. His best trait, however, is his ability to be more than just a defensive end. Fowler’s versatility allows him to line up at multiple positions such as outside linebacker, defensive tackle or either end positions.

The 3-4 scheme that is being run in New Orleans fits Fowler perfectly.
. Defensive End. Florida. Dante Fowler Jr.. 13. player

player. 59.
The Miami Dolphins suffered their second straight late season collapse, losing three out of their last four games, resulting in a sixth straight season in which they did not make the postseason. The collapse this season happened because of their poor defensive performances.

One position on the defense that needs help is cornerback. Even if he does not retire, Cortland Finnegan will be gone after his contract is up next season, while Jamar Taylor and Will Davis are too inconsistent both health wise and playing wise.

It is important the Dolphins draft a cornerback in the first round to line up opposite side of Pro Bowl cornerback Brent Grimes.

Trae Waynes has the size and physical ability to be a starting cornerback in the league. Drafting him would give them promise at a position that is currently in serious question.
. Cornerback. Washington. Trae Waynes. 14
