Dwayne Harris could be a great pickup for the Carolina Panthers, as he shouldn’t cost much to add, but could fill a few of the team’s needs.

If you watched the Panthers’ Wildcard round playoff game against the Arizona Cardinals, you probably noticed that they had issues on kick and punt returns. Harris could fix those issues right away, as he’s proven to be a solid return man.

That could go a long way for the Panthers, as they haven’t had a solid punt returner since Steve Smith stopped filling that role many years ago. Harris has returned two punts for touchdowns in his career – the Panthers as a team have only had that many since December of 2003.

He hasn’t had much of a chance to prove what he can do as a receiver – only 57 career targets for 33 catches, 418 yards, and three touchdowns – but he has the skill-set to be a solid contributor if given a chance.

Carolina would still need to add another receiver, likely through the draft, but Dwayne Harris could be a solid slot receiver and inside complement to Kelvin Benjamin.
