Aaron Rodgers and the Packers are a piece or two away from being a complete all-around team next season. Ted Thompson hasn’t been known for being a willing spender in free agency, but he is going to need to be this offseason to make the necessary moves to take the Packers over the hump. It is going to be a very exciting offseason with a lot of player movement, and it will be interesting to see whether or not Green Bay joins the frenzy.
There are plenty of players on the market that fit what the Packers are trying to do perfectly. Some of their potential targets will cost some money, but others will be very reasonably priced players.
That being said, it will all come down to whether or not Thompson is convinced that he needs to spend money to build a championship caliber team. Green Bay already has the core that they need, but there are still holes in the supporting cast.
