Tevin Coleman, Indiana

One of the most underrated prospects in the entire 2015 NFL Draft is Indiana’s star running back Tevin Coleman. As a sophomore he ran for 958 yards and 12 touchdowns, but it was what he did as a junior that caught the nation’s attention. In 2014 he ran for 2036 yards and 15 touchdowns. He was the second-most productive back in the Big Ten last year. He stands at 6 foot 1 and weighs 210 pounds, so he has good NFL size to go along with his plethora of skills. Coleman averaged an incredible 7.5 yards per carry this year.

Coleman didn’t participate in the NFL Scouting Combine due to injury, but he has ran a 4.52 40-yard dash (the same as Melvin Gordon) and benched 225 pounds a respectable 22 times. The strength that he displayed will definitely give reason for more teams to check him out in this years’ draft.

Coleman never caught a touchdown pass in college, although he did catch 54 passes for the Hoosiers in his career. Thus, he is definitely capable of being a three-down back in the NFL, after some work that is. I’m thinking teams will overlook his injury concerns (foot, ankle) because they don’t seem very serious. He will participate in all drills at Indiana’s impending pro day on April 16th.
