San Diego Chargers: Top 10 Wide Receivers of All-Time
Vincent Jackson, 2005-2011
During the 2000s, the main men in the San Diego Chargers offense were Philip Rivers, Antonio Gates, LaDainian Tomlinson and Vincent Jackson.
Out of Northern Colorado, Jackson started out slowly, but then caught fire in 2008 with his first of three 1,000-yard seasons, going for 1,098 yards and seven touchdowns on 59 catches.
V-Jax was often among the top receivers in the league during his prime. His best season while with the Bolts would have to be in 2009 when Jackson went for 1,167 yards and nine touchdowns on 68 receptions with a 77.8 yards per game average in 15 games.
Jackson is on this list where he is for his statistics as well as his ability to play the seam and take the top of the defense. He and Gary Garrison are in the same boat in that you knew whenever Jackson and Rivers hooked up, magic was about to happen.
Jackson ranks ninth in Chargers history in yards, 12th in receptions, tied-seventh in touchdowns and 18th in yards per game. Jackson is with the Bucs now, but when he was with SD, he was the ultimate burner.
