Taiwan Jones, Michigan State Spartans

Position: Inside Linebacker

Height & Weight: 6’3″ & 245 pounds

2014 Season Statistics: 60 total tackles, 31 solo, 12.5 for loss, 4.0 sacks, 1 interception, 1 pass defended

Michigan State Spartans linebacker Taiwan Jones is a physical menace at linebacker. He stands at 6’3″ and 245 pounds with a massive build, natural power and extraordinary potential.

There are times in which he looks too stiff, but Jones has as much upside as any player at his position.

In a draft that’s relatively thin on big-name inside linebackers, Jones has a chance to make noise. He’s in need of the proper development, but his raw power is something to see.

Jones’ performance at the Combine doesn’t do his physical ability justice.

If you want a fun activity, watch film of Jones going to war with high-caliber defensive linemen in the Big Ten.

Jones will take on runners between the gaps and lay shuttering hits with no remorse. He needs to improve his coverage skills to be a three-down player, but he’ll make headlines with his ability to blow plays up before they happen.

This is an upside pick with risk, but Jones has the physical tools to be successful.
