Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, Oregon Ducks

Position: Cornerback

Height & Weight: 5’9″ & 192 pounds

2014 Season Statistics: 63 tackles, 43 solo, 1.0 for loss, 2 interceptions, 1 fumble forced, 9 passes defended

If not for a severe knee injury suffered before the college football playoffs, Ifo Ekpre-Olomu of the Oregon Ducks would likely be a first-round draft pick. He’s undersized, but he’s also one of the best cornerbacks in this draft class.

Now, Ekpre-Olomu is projected to go in the second round but could potentially drop all the way to Round 3.

Ekpre-Olomu stands at 5’9″ and 192 pounds, but he’s a tough and physical defender who makes plays on the ball. He won’t be overmatched by bigger receivers and he has the speed to match up against the slot.

If he can recover from the knee injury and progress as he was, Ekpre-Olomu will be one of the best players to emerge from this draft class.

Landing him in Round 2 or 3—and potentially Round 4 if teams are that scared of his injury, a la Aaron Colvin—would be an absolute steal.

The question is, which team is willing to gamble on the health of an undersized player with the potential to be a lockdown corner?
