Another major area of need for the New Orleans Saints is at the linebacker position, and there is one name that just hit the market that would be an excellent fit. A.J. Hawk was released by the Green Bay Packers in an attempt to save money, and he has shown over the past few seasons that he is a very consistent tackler and would improve the main need for New Orleans.

Hawk is 31 years old, which leaves him with a few more seasons of top-notch football left. It would be wise for the Saints to offer him a reasonable deal and see if they can bring him on board.

Last season with the Packers, Hawk ended up recording 90 total tackles to go along with 0.5 sacks and that was about it. The two years before this past season he recorded 118 and 120 tackles. Needless to say, those numbers show just how much talent Hawk has and what he is capable of.

If the Saints want to add a leader and a dominant presence in the middle of their defense, then Hawk would be the right guy for them at a very reasonable price.
