Sammie Coates. 18. player. 124.
There is still plenty of time till’ draft day, and Sammie Coates might not even be a first round pick. But due to the Chiefs pressing need at receiver, Coates will be slotted to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Despite the possibility of Coates going in the second or third round, he is here because he has an incredible amount of potential. He battled through inconsistencies last season at Auburn; however, when he is on, he is tough to stop, finishing with three 100+ yard games, including a career best 206 receiving yards in a loss to Alabama in 2014.

The Chiefs desperately need a receiver, as it is the one part missing on what could be an incredibly potent offense.

Last year, Quarterback Alex Smith threw for 18 touchdowns. While he isn’t the type of quarterback to throw for 4,500 yards and 30 touchdowns, he still needs receivers to throw to. In 2014, the Chiefs receivers recorded no touchdowns and caught just 129 of Smith’s 303 completions.

Again, it might be a bit high for Coates, but with the need for an offensive weapon being the top priority for Kansas City, Coates could potentially be a first-round pick.
. Wide Receiver. Auburn
