Jameis Winston. 1. player. 48. <p>Free agent signings, the selection of Mike Evans and an overhaul of the coaching staff led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers into last season with raised expectations. That failed to pan out, and as a result, they now have the first pick in this year’s draft.</p> <p>With that being said, there are multiple positions that Tampa needs to fill. However, the most important one is the quarterback position, as they already have offensive weapons; plus, defensive minded head coach Lovie Smith can always maximize the defense.</p> <p>Mike Glennon and Josh McCown are the two quarterbacks on last year’s roster. As of now, it’s just Glennon. While Glennon is a formidable quarterback, he is not the future of the Buccaneers.</p> <p>This pick was originally slated to Mariota, but with Jameis Winston being a pocket-quarterback in a pro-style offense, coach Lovie Smith has displayed his interest in him and said he would not be opposed to making him their franchise quarterback.</p> <p>It’s has become an obvious selection.</p>.
