Quarterback. Oregon. Marcus Mariota. 6. player. 30.
The New York Jets need a quarterback. Relying on an aged Michael Vick and a regressing Geno Smith will get this franchise no where. An upgrade at the position is a must, but will they address it during the draft?

With Jameis Winston off the board, the best option for the Jets in the first round is Marcus Mariota. Now, whether or not the Jets are willing to invest a first round pick in a quarterback has yet to be seen; however, it should be a no-brainer.

Unlike Winston, Mariota is a bit more friendly in terms of his off the field issues. Like Winston, though, Mariota struggled to close out the season. Still, throughout his college career Mariota has been nothing short of spectacular.

In his junior season, Mariota finished with 4,454 passing yards, 42 touchdowns and four interceptions. Along with his incredible passing statistics, Mariota also found success on the ground, running for 770 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Let’s see if Mariota will find his way back to New York, where he found himself in December of 2014, as he received the Heisman Trophy.
