2. Will Carolina use the draft to add more help at the wide receiver position?

If they have the kind of success that they did in last year’s first round, you bet that general manager Dave Gettleman will go back to the well within the first two or three rounds.

While he didn’t earn Offensive Rookie of the Year honors, Kelvin Benjamin had quite the debut season. He finished second on the team with 73 catches, tied tight end Greg Olsen for the club receiving yardage lead (1,008) and led Carolina with nine touchdowns. These days, he’s one of only four wide receivers currently on the Panthers roster, joining veteran Jerricho Cotchery, Corey Brown and Brenton Bersin. That trio combined for just 82 receptions and four scores in 2014.

So you think Gettleman will explore some options in the draft. No doubt. And it also wouldn’t be a shock to see the team take a run at someone like the Baltimore Ravens Torrey Smith should he hit the free-agent market.
