Wes Welker, Wide Receiver

One intriguing wide receiver on the free agent market this offseason is veteran wide receiver Wes Welker. He had a rough season last year in Denver, and the Broncos cannot afford to re-sign him even if they wanted to.

Welker ended up catching 49 passes for 464 yards and two touchdowns throughout the 2014 season in Denver.

His age could be a concern at 33, but he is still capable of making some plays and being a better option than the Browns currently have. Welker does have a long history of concussion issues, but if he can stay health the Browns would be getting a huge piece for whoever their starting quarterback ends up being. He is a quick receiver that makes plays over the middle and in short situations.

Cleveland would be wise to give Welker one more chance before he decides to retire. They need some veteran players on the team anyway, and Welker would fit both of their needs.
