C.J. Spiller, Running Back

Andre Ellington was expected to break out in 2014, but that didn’t end up happening. Instead, he played incredibly inconsistent football and then missed the end of the regular season due to sports hernia surgery.

There are major concerns at the running back position, and the Cardinals would be wise to target some running back help in free agency. One player that would make a lot of sense for the Cardinals is Buffalo Bills impending free agent C.J. Spiller. He has had health concerns of his own, but has also shown the ability to put up big numbers when he can stay on the field.

During the 2014 season, Spiller ended up totaling just 300 yards and no touchdowns. Going back to the 2012 season when Spiller was 100 percent healthy, he racked up 1,244 yards and six touchdowns.

It would be an interesting pickup to say the very least and could be exactly what the Cardinals need to take their offense to the next level.
