2. What’s the Ravens situation at tight end?

When Baltimore was busy winning Super Bowl XLVII during the 2012 season, the team had quite the combination at the position in Dennis Pitta and Ed Dickson.

Pitta finished tied for second on the team with 61 catches, seven for scores. In the playoffs, he added 14 catches for 163 yards and three touchdowns in four games. Dickson added 21 catches during the regular season and six more in the playoffs. However, Pitta has spent more time off the field than on it the last two years and it remains to be seen what is in store for the talented performer. Dickson was unable to take up the slack left by Pitta’s injury and spent 2014 with the Carolina Panthers.

The Ravens signed former Houston Texans’ Pro Bowler Owen Daniels last offseason and he finished third on the team with 48 catches, good for 527 yards and two touchdowns. The veteran is eligible for free agency and it remains to be seen if he comes back. While quarterback Joe Flacco did lean on wide receivers Steve Smith Sr. and speedy Torrey Smith in 2014, look for Baltimore to add a tight end within the first two days of the draft.
