Round 6: Dres Anderson – WR – Utah
While many believe the Dolphins will double-down on either a cornerback or offensive lineman, Miami will elect to designate two picks to the receiver position.
In addition to DeVante Parker, Dres Anderson would be a terrific hit for the Dolphins.
At the University of Utah, Anderson electrified the crowd with his ability to go up and catch the ball, while also shaking the defenders in open space.
Anderson’s break out season came in 2013. With 53 catches, 1,002 yards and seven touchdowns, Anderson not only led the team in receiving, but also became just the seventh receiver in school history with +1,000 yards in a season.
Although his senior season was cut short due to injuries (missed six games with a knee ailment), he still is an interesting prospect.
According to the coaching staff, Anderson refused to be out-worked. With a smaller frame, Anderson uses his ability to maximize his speed quickly and his great body control as a substitute.
He is a very talented young player, one Miami should take a chance on, as they look to rebuild their receiving core.
