It’s no secret that the New Orleans Saints have major issues on defense. It seems like they all needed a refresher on how to tackle properly since they just simply couldn’t get the job done consistently. This is why the Saints will draft defensive prospect Shane Ray.

With having the mentality of drafting the best defensive player available, the Saints don’t pass up on an opportunity to get a solid pass rusher. He’s got incredible power and can keep up with anyone coming his way.

Ray is a natural ball hawk and can pursue the quarterback with precision while also naturally adjusting to stop running plays in an instant. The Saints need more players like him so they can build around for years to come.

Without many weaknesses, Ray stands at 6’3″ and 245 lbs. ready to prove his worth for a team that is in dire need of a new identity on defense. Ray could be that and more whether they decide to put him as a defensive end of use his speed as an outside linebacker.
. Defensive End/Outside Linebacker. Missouri. Shane Ray. 13. player. 15
