LSU. La'el Collins. 15. player. 42.
The San Francisco 49ers have lost Mike Iupati via free agency and will have a major void to fill on their offensive line . With their 15th overall pick however, the 49ers will take offensive tackle La’el Collins.

An instant starter, Collins would solidify their offensive line with his agility, quick reaction time and the ability to provide some incredible pass protection no matter what is coming his way. Quarterback Colin Kaepernick will need the pass protection as Collins brings in a tremendous amount of talent to let him do his job.

Capable of being a tackle or even a guard, the 49ers are wise to head in this direction since Collins is ranked incredibly high on many draft boards thanks to what he brings to the table. Considering that he’s extremely competitive, he should adjust nicely to life in the NFL and would be a steal of a pick by the 49ers.

Ultimately I can see the 49ers making him a guard and fill in for the departure of Iupati. He has a bit of a mean streak and whenever he messes up or gets beat on a play, he gets right back up and gets more aggressive to succeed next time around.
. Offensive Tackle/Offensive Guard
