21. player. 56.
The Cincinnati Bengals need to add more talent to their pass rush. With some controversy if Shaq Thompson would be better off as a running back instead of an outside linebacker, I disagree with most analysts out there that he should change positions upon entering the NFL.

Just because he dabbled as a running back in college doesn’t necessarily mean that’s his fate. The Bengals will absolutely love his ferocity and speed as a blitzing linebacker that will finally give them a pass rusher able to get to the quarterback in a hurry.

He’s played as a linebacker, running back, and even a safety which goes to show the athleticism he has. I like this move by the Bengals since his upside is tremendous as a keen defender that knows how to change gears depending on what offenses throw his way.

As a natural play-maker, the Bengals might raise some eyebrows with this pick but in the end are getting value back since Thompson is capable of filling in different roles if they do want to change his position to something that the team needs to solidify in the future. I still think he’s better suited as a linebacker.
. Outside Linebacker. Washington. Shaq Thompson
