50.
With the departure of Ndamukong Suh via free agency, the Detroit Lions brought in Haloti Ngata as a suitable replacement. Since the Lions will want to keep adding more talent to their defensive line to ensure success after Suh, they will draft Arik Armstead.

Armstead is the kind of stud that can step right in and take care of business. The Lions will work Armstead in as he has tremendous upside to be a key contributor on defense with the right coaching and guidance.

At 6’7″ and 292 lbs., Armstead has an elite size that will only improve over time once he adds some more weight. He excels in getting out of tough blocks and making plays even to the surprise of those covering him. He’s got great extension too while helping to block passes from the line of scrimmage.

Armstead needs to work on being consistent when it comes to finishing plays against offensive lineman but he is coachable to improve in that category. Sometimes his opponent can get the best of him and take him out of plays because he’s not focused on the ball carrier. Aside from that, this will be a good pickup for the Lions
. Defensive End/Defensive Tackle. Oregon. Arik Armstead. 23. player
