Ereck Flowers. 25. player. 87.
When it came to pass protection for quarterback Cam Newton, the Carolina Panthers were flat out terrible and couldn’t block for him. They will address this issue by drafting offensive tackle Ereck Flowers thanks to his solid skill-set in giving his quarterback enough time to execute on passing plays.

As a solid zone blocker, Flowers will be able to get coached to the point of being a solid anchor on the Panthers’ offensive line for years to come. He’s a work in progress kind of athlete but with great coaching by the Panthers, he will be a solid pickup for the Panthers.

At 6’6″ and 329 pounds, he has the skill-set to truly excel in creating rushing gaps for the Panthers. He can contain blitzers coming his way and has a knack for having his way with opposing offensive linemen.

Overall, the Panthers grab one of the top offensive tackles in the draft since most don’t view Flowers as a good pass protecting tackle, but make no mistake about it, he will be put on a path towards success and fix his weaknesses thanks to solid coaching and development.
. Offensive Tackle. Miami
