28. Chad Clifton, Tackle, 2000-2011
Often times offensive lineman get little recognition for their efforts during and after their careers. However, Chad Clifton very much deserves to be honored on this all-time list. He spent his entire career with Green Bay and he protected both Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers for years. He kept them healthy and was extremely durable himself while he bolstered the offensive line an entire decade.
Clifton won a Super Bowl ring with the Packers and was named to the Pro Bowl twice. Many argued that he deserved to be honored in the NFL’s “All-Star” game more, but such is the life of an offensive lineman. In addition to his great, and consistent, play he did recover one fumble and made two tackles in his career as well.
He was drafted in the second round of the 2000 NFL draft and he certainly lived up to the expectations. Clifton was in every way a great draft pick and the ultimate teammate. He wasn’t a selfish player and he never sought to end his career in a different uniform. He’s one of the special Packers to spend his entire career in Green Bay. His consistency is the type of trait that head coaches and general managers drool over in left tackles in the NFL.
