24. Henry Jordan, Defensive Tackle, 1959-1969

Henry Jordan is one of the least talked about defensive stars from the Packers’ 1960s dynasty. Which is interesting, because he is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame and is the only defensive tackle to make Green Bay’s all-time greatest players list. He is one of the greatest defensive tackles in the history of the NFL and he routinely dominated his peers.

He was named to four Pro Bowl squads and was named First-Team All-Pro four times as well during his time with the Packers. Jordan was a force stuffing the run and rushing the passer during the franchise’s greatest stretch of years. He won five World Championships, including the first two Super Bowl championships and he was instrumental in each championship season. He also recovered an impressive 21 fumbles in his career. We can only wonder at how many sacks he registered in his career as that wasn’t something that was tracked in the 1960s.

What is the most incredible about Jordan’s career is that he missed just two games in his entire 11-year career in Green Bay. He played physically in an era of tough guys at one of the hardest positions in the game and still barely ever missed a game. It is quite an honor to be considered the greatest player at a position in Packers history.
