The Dallas Cowboys have some fine-tuning to do in the 2015 NFL Draft, especially with the week they just had.

The Cowboys lost NFL Offensive Most Valuable Player and starting running back DeMarco Murray to the Philadelphia Eagles via free agency, along with letting other players including linebackers Justin Durant and Bruce Carter go, as the team decided against re-signing all three of those players.

There were others the Cowboys decided not to re-sign, but one player they did add to their roster was running back Darren McFadden via free agency. He’ll be a decent piece to the Cowboys offense, as he’ll be one of the couple running backs picked to replace Murray behind the stout offensive line of the Cowboys.

The Cowboys do have some needs, though, not just including finding another running back to go with McFadden. This will most likely be a draft where the Cowboys focus a lot on defense, which should be the direction they look toward this draft.

The most interesting pick for the Cowboys will be who they take in the first round of the draft, because there are a few different directions the reigning NFC East champions will go.

After a 13-win season (including their playoff win), the Cowboys will be drafting at 27th overall, so I believe who they pick will depend on just who the best player available is at a position they need.

Do you believe the Cowboys would draft a running back in the first round if Melvin Gordon or Todd Gruley would fall to them? Remember, last year there was no running back taken in the first round of the draft by any NFL team.

This draft is one to really look forward to,  and one where it will be very intriguing to see which direction the Cowboys will go.

Until Thursday, April 30 when the first day of the NFL draft takes place, let’s play the guessing game and try to figure out what exactly the Cowboys will do that weekend.

Without further ado, here is a seven-round 2015 NFL Mock Draft for the Cowboys.
