3. Russell Wilson – Jimmy Graham
The other tandem on this list who has yet to play one snap together comes in the form of Russell Wilson and Jimmy Graham.
The New Orleans Saints shook up the NFL world when they announced the deal that sent Graham to the NFC Champion Seattle Seahawks. It made sense from the Saints point of view. Center Max Unger is one of the best in the business and Drew Brees is a guy who needs those top interior lineup to succeed. Unlike most quarterbacks who want the top tackle, Brees is just a “step up in the pocket” guy that his center and guards are of top importance.
The late first-round pick going New Orleans way doesn’t hurt matters either.
While I believe many are overrating the severity of the deal in favor of Seattle, there’s no question the Seahawks get a guy who’ll remain at stud level status for a couple more seasons.
At 28 years old, Graham will provide Wilson and the Seattle offense with something they have yet to experience: an athletic big target who can go up and get the ball at its highest point.
