57. The Chicago Bears allowed 112.7 yards per game on the ground last season, which ranked just 17th in the league in that category. They will need to improve that number in 2015, and what better way to do that than to bring in a big body to plug up the defensive line?
Iowa defensive tackle Carl Davis fits that mold perfectly and would be a very big pickup for the Bears. Davis stands at 6’5″ and weighs in at a massive 315 pounds. That type of body is tough for any offense to deal with, and he could be exactly the type of talent that Chicago has been looking for to help turn their defense around.

Last season with the Hawkeyes, Davis ended up recording 36 tackles and 2.0 sacks.

They may not look like impressive numbers, but he certainly was disruptive on the defensive line. He is a very powerful player and actually has the ability to be a very solid pass rusher as well. Chicago will likely look at improving their defense early on throughout the draft, but Davis would be a nice addition for them.
. DT. Iowa Hawkeyes. Carl Davis. 2. player
