Signing Disappointing WR Percy Harvin
Percy Harvin has been the most interesting move by the Buffalo Bills this offseason. There is no question that he still has the potential to turn his career around and get back to being a legitimate number one wide receiver. That being said, he has a lot of work to do in order to get to that point, and has quite a bit of disappointment surrounding him.
Last season split between the Seattle Seahawks and New York Jets, Harvin ended up catching 51 passes for 483 yards and a touchdown.
Those numbers aren’t going to get it done for a player that wants a big role in an offense. Harvin certainly has the speed and talent to become a very dangerous receiver, but he has to figure out what has been holding him back. He is just 26 years old, which gives him plenty of time to figure the issue out and get back down to business.
Buffalo decided to take the risk on him, and they could end up getting a very dangerous offensive weapon. They are going to be dealing with either Matt Cassel or E.J. Manuel at quarterback unless something else happens, so getting them as much talent to work with as possible is very important.
