Clemson Tigers. Tavaris Barnes. 6. player. 56. As the end of the draft gets closer, there won’t be much talent to find. The Cincinnati Bengals are just going to take the best player available with the most potential for the future, and Clemson Tigers defensive end Tavaris Barnes fits that description.
Barnes doesn’t have a ton of NFL talent, but he is a very physical player and has the type of athletic ability that it takes to make it at the next level.

During his senior season last year at Clemson, Barnes ended up recording just 14 tackles, 3.0 sacks and a forced fumble. Those numbers don’t give fans a whole lot of excitement, but he has some of the raw skills to become a solid depth piece. That being said, if the Bengals do end up taking him it isn’t likely that he would end up making the regular season roster.

There is no doubt that Barnes has a chance to make a career for himself at the next level, but he has a lot of work to do in order to get to that point. Cincinnati has quite a few options in the sixth round, but Barnes is certainly one of them.
. DE
