With this being the second foray into a Dallas Cowboys seven-round mock draft this month, this time it was time to try something a little different and use Fanspeak’s “On the Clock Draft Simulator” to add to this mock draft.

With there being a variety of big boards to use while simulating a Dallas Cowboys draft, this time I used the big board of Scott Carasik from Bleacher Report, as it is one of the 10 big boards to choose from with this simulator.

My mindset with this draft still hasn’t changed some when it comes to drafting needs of the Cowboys as they are in a “win-now” mindset, being they are the reigning NFC East champions and were a play or two away from winning in the Divisional Round of the playoffs as well.

More from Dallas Cowboys

Since the last time we drafted, the Cowboys have signed some players on the defensive side, including defensive end Greg Hardy to a one-year contract and Jasper Brinkley at linebacker.

There have been some other moves for depth, but besides adding Darren McFadden at running back and the aforementioned signings, there are still needs the Cowboys must address in this draft.

I’m still a believer that in the NFL, a good defense will win you a championship, and since the Cowboys are mostly set on the offensive side (they still need to add some depth), the defense is where the Cowboys will concentrate mostly in this draft.

Also, remember the Cowboys don’t have a sixth round selection in this draft because of a trade last season for Rolando McClain, but they do have two picks in the seventh round.

The Cowboys are scheduled to be drafting at 27th overall in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft. So without any further ado, let’s see what type of draft choices we can get with myself making the picks with the addition of the Fanspeak.com simulator.
