This year saw so many injuries to a San Diego Chargers offensive line that originally wasn’t stellar to begin with. With the loss of Nick Hardwick, the Chargers suffered on the offensive line to protect quarterback Philip Rivers. Rivers was sacked 37 times on the season (ranked 16th). That may not seem that bad of a stat when compared with other teams. However, when looking closer, one can see how bad the Chargers offensive line truly was this season.
In the entire 2014 campaign, the Bolts allowed Philip Rivers to get knocked down an average of 4.875 times per game. In their last four games, the Bolts allowed seven quarterback hits or more three times. Not to mention, the Chargers allowed a horrendous 6.0625 tackles for loss per game. In 2014, the offensive line allowed seven or more tackles for loss in seven games!

Thus, unless the Chargers go through free agency, they are definitely going to have to address their offensive line concerns through the draft.
The Bolts and Tom Telesco have already spent big money to bring in Orlando Franklin as well as re-sign King Dunlap and D.J. Fluker. All they need now is another offensive guard and perhaps a center to make their offensive line truly complete.
Here is a list of the top offensive linemen based on their current draft status and relevance to the Chargers.
