The Oakland Raiders have made some excellent moves in free agency but are still lacking in depth and talent. They added some instant starters on defense in MLB Curtis Lofton and NT Dan Williams and some players who will add depth such as LB Malcolm Smith, Safety Nate Allen, and CB James Dockery.
On offense they added Center Rodney Hudson and made him the highest paid player at his position. They also added blocking TE Lee Smith and made a splash with the signing of former Indianapolis Colt and Cleveland Brown Trent Richardson.
The team will still be relying heavily on their young core of players on both sides of the ball but they are still short on depth at many positions. There may be a host of veterans that become available as cap casualties after June 1st but there are already a few players out there that the Raiders should target before the June 1st cut day.
