The New England Patriots are a team that is notorious for being tough negotiators, and only paying players the amount that they deem them to be worth, otherwise they will let them walk. I will analyze the contract of the players that have the five largest cap hits in on the Patriots roster and if they are worth that money. So here we go.

No. 5 Sebastian Vollmer, RT, Cap Hit: $7,020,833

I personally am surprised that Vollmer is the fifth highest paid player on the Patriots roster. Given, this is the year that his contract really hits its peak, but it is a lot of money for a right tackle. Vollmer has been a very solid right tackle for the Patriots.

He was voted second team all-pro in 2010 and has been very consistent for most of his career. 2014 may have actually been one of his weaker years as he did struggle, especially at the beginning of the season. He did find back to himself later in the year. The contract he signed was a four-year deal worth  $16.75 million. This year happens to be the year in which makes the most,  but overall he is worth his money.

Conclusion: Worth it
