Seattle Seahawks star quarterback Russell Wilson didn’t have the best weapons around him last season in the passing game, but he still managed to put together a fine 2014 campaign as a follow-up to his exceptional 2013 season that culminated in a Super Bowl win. The Seahawks couldn’t capture a second straight title, but Wilson was fantastic. With Doug Baldwin and Jermaine Kearse forced to be his top two wideouts, Wilson needed to run the ball more, and he impressively racked up a career-high 849 rushing yards on the strength of a ridiculous 7.2 yards per carry.

And hey, Wilson wasn’t bad through the air either, and it’s a testament to his fine quarterbacking that his 7.7 yards per attempt last season were a career low. He did a great job of taking care of the ball with a career-low seven picks in the face of a career-high 452 attempts, and a lesser QB could have easily made a mess of Wilson’s situation. It’s rare to find a QB who can run the ball as well as Wilson while simultaneously showing as exceptional poise, decision-making, and vision.

It’s hard to find a way to rank any player’s best five performances of the season, but that’s exactly what we attempted to do here. Leave your thoughts in the comments section, and I’d especially love to hear what you guys think are his most memorable plays of his somewhat under-appreciated 2014 season.
