What Impact Would He Have and What to Expect
Now that we have figured out what type of fit he would be for the Dallas Cowboys, it is time to take a look at what he could do for them on the field. Obviously with Adrian Peterson being the best running back in the NFL, it’s hard to say much else other than he would be a massive upgrade over what they were working with last year.
Peterson would immediately upgrade the Cowboys’ backfield, and would bring in the type of playmaking that they lost with DeMarco Murray. He would be an immediate upgrade over what Murray was for the Cowboys, and would put up even bigger numbers than the dominating stats that he has had to this point in his career.
If Dallas thought they had a dangerous running back last season, then they are in for a world of surprise with Peterson.
There is no question that he would put up another 1,000-yard season and Dallas and could very well make it to 2,000 yards. He has never had the type of supporting cast that he would have with the Cowboys, and it would be a perfect match for both Peterson and the offense.
