  • Los Angeles Rams (1962-76)
  • 5-Time 1st Team All-Pro

Merlin Olsen was the cog in a fierce Los Angeles Rams defensive line for over a decade.

The line was so fierce that they were dubbed “The Fearsome Foursome.” While the edge guys did their job by getting to the quarterback, Olsen took the role as the man who did the dirty work by taking on double-teams frequently.

Some might know him better as an actor and broadcaster, but make no mistake about it, Olsen was one of the greats of all-time.

In 1974 he took home the Bert Bell award as the league’s MVP. Only two other defensive players throughout history have ever done that.
