  • 1971 NFL MVP / 1971 Defensive POY / 6-Time 1st Team All-Pro

Only two men in NFL history have won the AP NFL MVP award playing defense.

One of these guys was Minnesota Vikings defensive tackle Alan Page.

In 1971 he took home both the MVP and Defensive Player of the Year award. Playing in the roughest area of the game, the interior, Page played an insane 218 consecutive games for a defensive line known as “The Purple People Eaters.”

While he could never get that ultimate trophy, appearing in the Super Bowl four times is an incredible achievement.

Page made the Pro Bowl nine times.
