6. player. 45. Late in the draft, teams begin drafting the best player available at the time rather than focusing on trying to fill needs that they have on the roster. That is exactly what the Denver Broncos are predicted to do with this pick in the sixth round.
Texas Longhorns linebacker Jordan Hicks definitely has NFL potential, but there is still quite a bit of work for him to do in order to recognize that potential. Denver would be an ideal landing spot for him, and they would provide him with a very stable atmosphere. There are plenty of linebackers that are playing at the top of their game that could teach him things on the fly, and he might very well stick with the team for the entire year if he reaches his full potential.

During his senior season with the Longhorns last year, Hicks recorded 107 tackles, 3.5 sacks and two interceptions on the season.

Those numbers show the raw talent that Hicks has, and being able to snag him in the sixth round would be huge for the Broncos. Whether he made the 53-man roster or stuck on the practice squad, there would likely be a spot for Hicks in Denver.
. LB. Texas Longhorns. Jordan Hicks
