4. Tevin Coleman, Indiana Hoosiers

One of the most underrated prospects in the entire 2015 NFL Draft class is Indiana running back Tevin Coleman. He is coming off of a monster season with the Hoosiers in 2014, carrying the football 270 times for 2,036 yards and 15 touchdowns. Coleman ended up tying for sixth in the nation with Melvin Gordon at 7.5 yards per carry.

Coleman is one of the most dynamic offensive players in the draft, and he is all about making big plays on the ground.

That play in particular shows the type of explosion and acceleration that Coleman has. He has an excellent burst out of his cuts, and the acceleration needed to turn the corner. Once he gets into the open field, there aren’t many players that are going to be able to bring him down.

His ability to get around the corner and make plays in the open field is impressive to say the least. Coleman’s biggest issue is getting carried away trying to make the big play, and will need to focus on calming down and becoming an all-around running back. At 5’11” and 206 pounds, he has the body to become an every down running back if he’s willing to put in the work.

Quite a few teams could use dynamic running backs, and he is likely going to be a second or third round draft pick. There are quite a few similarities between Coleman and Gordon, but Coleman will need to improve his short-yardage game to become the same type of all-around back. An NFL coaching staff is going to do wonders for Coleman’s game and assuming he listens to them and works hard, will be able to turn him into a dangerous running back.

Before the draft process got started, there weren’t many looking at Coleman as one of the top backs in the entire 2015 class. That has now changed and he is widely viewed as one of the biggest sleepers in the draft.
