player. 48. <p>This has been the pick for awhile now and it comes with good reasoning. In my opinion, Jameis Winston is far and away the best player in this draft class. He doesn’t come across as the smartest person when he talks to the media and of course he has his antics off the field, nonetheless, Jameis is a guy that can command and lead an NFL team. He’s extremely smart, he has a rocket for an arm, and his touch passes are something special.</p> <p>The following is a little scoop of my notes on Winston when I studied the prospect awhile back:</p> <blockquote><p>Where Winston will need to clean up is on and off the field. He needs to show that he’s serious about football. He also needs to improve his decision-making a bit more as well. Despite that, Winston doesn’t flinch when the pocket collapses. He stands tall in the pocket and he goes through his progressions with no fear of being brought down. He has excellent anticipation and although he isn’t the most athletic guy, he shows enough ability to stay off the ground.</p></blockquote> <p>It’s no secret that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are in the market for a quarterback. To be clear, their first-round pick will be between Winston or Marcus Mariota. That said, even though some are starting to jump on the Mariota train because of the latest allegation against Winston, I still believe the Bucs go with the in-state product in Winston. Unlike many rookie quarterbacks, Winston will be able to come into the NFL from the get-go and have success, as the Bucs have talent on the offense for Winston to work with.</p>. Quarterback.
