2015 NFL Mock Draft: Marcus Mariota joins the Chargers

<p>At first glance, you might be squinting as I have the San Diego Chargers selecting Mariota, but you should know that you’re reading that correctly. I’m not entirely sure why, but the Chargers seem to be interested in trading Philip Rivers, their star franchise quarterback, to move up to select Marcus Mariota. Here’s what my projected trade would be for both teams:</p> <p>Unlike the recent Oregon products, Mariota is a player that can actually make it in today’s league. Sure his collegiate offense was tailored to his strengths, but there are plenty of things teams will love about Mariota. He has an accurate arm, he basically never goes down as his ability to evade pressure is top-notch, and, lastly, he’s a guy that will stay up late going over the opposing team’s defense.</p> <p>Matthew Schwerha of the Sun Times Network reported that the deal between the two sides is close to being completed.</p> <blockquote class=.
