2. Signing cornerback Brandon Browner

The talented but somewhat-controversial defender will be playing for his third team in as many seasons…sort of.

One of the original members of “The Legion of Doom” with the Seattle Seahawks, Browner was suspended by the NFL late in 2013 and would not be part of the team’s Super Bowl XLVIII championship run.

In 2014, the New England Patriots inked Browner to a conditional deal and when he was finally able to play, he made his presence felt in a number of ways –  most of that in the positive vein. However, the Pats did not pick up the option on his contract and he hit the open market.

The defensively-starved Saints grabbed Browner and he’ll now make up a secondary, along with cornerback Keenan Lewis and safeties Kenny Vaccaro and Jairus Byrd (who missed most of 2014), that could be a force this upcoming season.
