1. player. 48. Jameis Winston remains my top pick entering the 2015 NFL Draft, but keep in mind that this is a representation of what I think will happen, not of what I think should happen. If Marcus Martioa had of emerged with an undeniable Pro Day and pre-draft process, this situation may lean more in his direction, but I still feel his physical gifts trail those of Winston in an NFL setting.
Obviously, my worry with Winston is off the field. With the year that the NFL just had in regards to domestic violence, the concept of the 1st Overall pick being involved in a civil suit for sexual assault at the time of the Draft is difficult to wrap your head around. Winston has wowed through the interview process, with a million-dollar smile and charismatic answers to each and every question thrown his way. My counter to that, however, is that of course he has.

I do truly hope that Winston has a successful career on the field, and more importantly off of it, but I’m not comfortable in assuming that 3 months of pre-draft production will be indicative of his next 12-15 years as a pro. Where does Winston’s off-field life go once he is selected first overall, and believes that the interview process is behind him?

Now, let’s not focus just on the bad in this mock draft. On the field, Winston is an exciting quarterback prospect. His arm is pro-ready, and more importantly, so is his mind. FSU’s offense under Jimbo Fisher was very similar to what he will run in the NFL, especially when compared to that of Mariota. Winston also comes with the ever-valuable ability to move within his own pocket. A 2-foot shuffle to the left can often be the difference between a sack and a touchdown, and Winston has the awareness to make that happen. He’ll start from day one, and fall in love with <a href=. QB. FSU. Jameis Winston
