44. The Atlanta Falcons make the first reach in my mock, but it’s one well worth making. The Falcons are in desperate need of pass-rush help, and the physical freak from Kentucky is a fantastic fit for Dan Quinn’s defense.
Dupree would plug in beautifully as the Leo linebacker, whose job is to penetrate against the running game and attack the edge as a pass-rusher. Although Dupree does have some rudimentary coverage skills, the Leo position does not ask for much in that sense, and would allow for him to dominate with his straight-forward game. Dupree can already thump the run, and his pass-rush potential is significant.

At the 2015 Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Dupree sent his stock soaring with a 4.56-second time in the 40-yard dash to go along with a 42.0″ vertical jump. Don’t overlook his plus character grades, either, as the current Falcons management has made a point of mostly avoiding prospects with any off-field issues.
. OLB. Kentucky. Bud Dupree. 8. player
