Week 13 – Kansas City Chiefs

The Raiders have to wait 13 weeks to face one of their greatest rivals in the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs reloaded their offense with the addition of Jeremy Maclin and  did well to re-sign some veteran pieces on defense.

Jamaal Charles always has a big game against the Raiders but they have a vastly improved their run defense with the additions of LB Curtis Lofton and NT Dan Williams. That is not to say that he will not have a good game but things will be much more difficult for Charles this time around.

Last year the Chiefs were Oakland’s first victory of the season in a sloppy Thursday night game that doubled as Latavius Murray’s coming out party where he had 112 yards and 2 TDs on just four carries. The Chiefs run defense will not be quite as porous this time around with the return of Derrick Johnson and Mike DeVito but this is another one of those divisional games where anything can happen.

The edge here is with the Raiders because they are playing at home and late last season became a very hard team to beat at the O.Co Coliseum.

Prediction: Win

Record: 6-6
