Week 3 – @ Cleveland Browns

Last season when the Raiders traveled to Cleveland to face the Browns, they had a very good chance to in their losing streak. Were it not for a late Darren McFadden fumble in the fourth quarter, the Raiders had an excellent chance of winning the game.

They brought the game to Cleveland and Derek Carr had one of his best games of his rookie year and his only 300+ yard performance.  Carr’s performance nearly proved the difference but the running game struggled once again and the Raiders struggled to get much offense going.

The Browns are in complete disarray and their situation is as bad as anything the Raiders have experienced in the last decade. The much-publicized drama surrounding Johnny Manziel continued this season and the Browns gave big money to veteran quarterback Josh McCown who is still cashing in on a good half season with the Bears.

McCown showed little promise with the Buccaneers last year and he will have an even worse supporting cast this year. Dwayne Bowe and Brian Hartline are their only weapons after Josh Gordon was suspended once again and Jordan Cameron left for the Miami Dolphis. If the Raiders truly think they can make the jump from a basement team in the league to a decent competitive side then this is a game they must win.

Prediction: Win

Record: 2-1
