Week 9 – @ Pittsburgh Steelers

Another team the Raiders always seem to play every season is the Pittsburgh Steelers. Surprisingly enough, the Raiders are 3-1 against the Steelers dating back to 2009. Hard to believe considering how different the levels of success both teams have experienced recently.

Pittsburgh is a team in transition as they look to rebuild from a season in which they missed the playoffs. Legendary safety Troy Polamalu has retired and they also lost CB Ike Taylor and young LB Jason Worilds decided to retire early.

This is a classic rivalry that has lost some of its luster because of the Raiders struggles but it is a old-fashioned AFC showdown that usually makes for big plays and big drama. The Steelers are still one of the better teams in the AFC and are one of the best franchises the league but they are undergoing an identity shift.

They have always been known for a punishing offense but now feature one of the dynamic offenses in the league featuring players like Antonio Brown and Leveon Bell. The Raiders will struggle to keep up with Steelers offense and Pittsburgh will win by double digits in a shootout.

Prediction: Loss

Record: 3-5
