player. 51.
Louisville wide receiver DeVante Parker is still on the board, and I expect the Rams to be taking phone calls, as the Browns, Saints, Dolphins, and Texans are all looking for wide reciever help in the next handful of picks, and could look to leapfrog the Minnesota Vikings who some analysts expect to reunite Parker with his college quarterback Teddy Bridgewater if given the chance.

I actually like Parker quite a bit for the Rams given his high upside and the fact that injury prone Kenny Britt and unproven Brian Quick are currently penciled in as the starters. But the Rams passed on a historic wide receiver class last season, and I think it could happen again if a defensive talent like Dupree is still on the board at pick ten. (Though I would be shocked if they once agains went all seven rounds without grabbing a pass catcher.)

Looking at the Rams front defense you may think that another pass rusher is the last thing they need, but defensive end Chris Long is 30 years old and coming off an injury shortened season, and there’s questions about his future in St. Louis as he has an unwieldy $14.25 million cap number for 2016, but only $2.5 million is guaranteed making him a likely cap casualty if he can’t regain his pre-injury, double digit sack form.

Enter Dupree the raw, but extremely talented edge rusher from Kentucky. His stock has skyrocketed through the draft process, but there’s still a real chance he’s available at this spot. As I mentioned with the Giants in the previous pick Dupree is athletic, and sound enough in pass coverage that he could line up as a linebacker in the Rams 4-3 base while also serving as a quality rotation player at defensive end with Long and Quinn, learning from two of the games best before ultimately taking over Long’s spot in 2016.
. OLB/DE. Kentucky. Alvin 'Bud' Dupree. 10
