16. player. 10.
This is a simple best player available situation for me, but recent reports that the Texans are looking to trade current strong safety D.J. Swearinger may indicate that this is a bigger position of need than many fans and analysts thought.

Collins is at his best in the box, and at 6 feet tall, 228 pounds, Collins is probably big enough to line up as a nickel linebacker if Houston hangs on to Swearinger and wants him and Collins on the field at the same time. Collins has excellent instincts against the run, and while there’s no denying he was burned badly at times at Alabama, he has the ball skills to improve against the pass to become a more balanced safety.

Collins is a tackling machine who helps improve the Texans on the back end and ensures that this remains a unit no offense wants to come up against (although J.J. Watt tends to do that by himself.)
. S. Alabama. Landon Collins
